DJ Impact

Well, here it is, our first interviewee has been selected, and confirmed. The first person to get his honour will be none other than Sean Crites. You might know him better as Impact, or even Wizdom from Jitter Jaw Productions.

Over the past 4 years, Sean along with his partner TJ (DJ Oystrixxx) has elevated the electronic music scene in the North, bringing in both record numbers of people, and high class DJs from all over to their monthly Jitter Jaw events. It has gotten so popular, that they can't keep up with the amount of DJs who are more than willing to travel to Sudbury to have the chance to play.

To see how the interview will work, and to post your question(s), please click "Read more" below.
This is how the interview is going to work. Any members of Vibez.ca, will have the opportunity to submit their question(s) below. Post as many as you'd like, that you'd wish for him to answer. I will (maybe along with a few others) select the best 10-15 questions, and email them to him. If I get too many good quality questions, I may send them all to him, and let him select the 10-15 he would like to answer. If I get enough in the next few days, I may even be able to ask him this weekend in person, and have them up for next week.

Once again, ask whatever you would like to know about him, pertaining to him as a DJ/Producer, as being part of Jitter Jaw, or regarding the music scene.

Also, if it's alright with Sean, this may also be published in a local "Magazine" down here.

2. Question #1

I guess I'll be the first to submit one. This is sort of a 3 part question. Since you just finished writing an article for a UK magazine regarding the scene in Ontario, where do you see the scene overall in the next 5 years or so? Is the scene "dieing" like a lot of people in Toronto are saying (attendance going from 10,000+ to 1,000 if lucky)? Or is it evolving (as people get older, they go from the "party" scene to the "club" scene)? And also, where do you see the scene in Sudbury (in the next few years)? Compared to a few years ago, Jitter Jaw is pulling in record numbers of attendees now.

3. Question For Impact

I see the rave scene growing in sudbury but if it grows much bigger then it has been Is there plans for your own venue or will you be sticking with the Games Room? JJ changed my life style. Peace

4. To Sean!!!

Sean, as a dj myself, I looked up to you when i first started out!!! When you were a rookie dj, which dj did u look up to has an encouragement for you to fullfil your dreams? What is your main goal of being a DJ? What would you say to someone who is beginning to become a dj? thank you, from your number 1 fan, Marc "Sprout" Bradley

5. Impact

First off I'd like to say Impact's the craziest DJ every and he spins some crazy tracks. I'd like to thank him (And TJ) for making the scene what it is today and without Jitter Jaw things wouldn't be the same :D Anyway, to the question. What is it that inspired you to become a DJ and continues to encourage you to spin today? Sickest DJ ever :thumb: Can't wait for this weekend.. Peace

6. Impact...

We all know that Impact possess sick skillz and can blow the roof off ANY venue. But what not everyone may notice is how well he seems to deal with the politics that are (sadly) often associated with being a promoter/dj. So my question is, what advice would you give to other up and coming dj's/promoters on how to cope with the politics and pressure so that their repuation holds respect similar to your own in this regard? (Not that anyone can ever match Impact at any level!)

7. here is mine!!

Impact or Wizdom...If you had to choose to be one or the other which would it be and why? Secondly...Are you happy with your desicion to remain a DJ, Or does the thought of retiring still cross your mind? :thumb:

18. Re: Questions for Impact.

Now that time has ran out, I would just like to say thanks to all who have participated in the first ever Vibez.ca interview. So far, it was a great success. I'll be sorting out the questions in the a.m., and adding a few of mine own to the list before sending them out to Impact. Keep checking back on the site, to see his responses. Thanks, Jay
